An Intimate Wedding on the Mendocino Coast | Switzer Farm, Westport, CA
With pandemic restrictions in place, many couples are considering reducing their guest list in lieu of rescheduling their wedding. I know that for some, envisioning a wedding with less than 50 guests can be a daunting task when you were looking at partying with 400 of your favorite people just three months ago. And although a small wedding ceremony might not be the right decision for everyone, I want to showcase here just how beautiful and meaningful a small wedding can be.
Bob and Kelsey’s wedding took place on the Mendocino Coast in Northern California with a ceremony located in a public park and their privately catered dinner at the historic Switzer Farm which they rented for the week. I think when you scroll through their gallery you’ll see a story of a day filled with calm, love, genuine happiness, and beauty. Because we didn’t have an overly strict timeline to adhere to, we were able to spend time capturing timeless family portraits and portraits of Bob and Kelsey that were not only stunning, but fun. Because they weren’t busy with 400 guests, we were able to take the time to drive somewhere scenic and capture the kind of portraits I think every couple hopes for.
You don’t have to elope to California or Hawaii to get this kind of vibe. You can have it with your existing venue. I hope this gallery serves as an inspiration to those of you wondering what a small wedding might look like.
