Twin Cities Family Photographer | Fall Family Photo Session in Lino Lakes, MN
While I love a beautiful scenic location for portrait sessions, and we have some beautiful places in Minnesota (North Shore anyone?), at-home sessions are still coming in at the top of my list along with my studio. Why, you ask? I’ll give you my insight here below!
At home or in-home sessions are more lifestyle in nature and showcase your life and personalities better than a hilltop will. Someday, when you’re no longer living in this home or this city, these images will take you back in time. The memories they capture are not just of you who are now, but where you are now and how you live now. And that’s something super special. And if this alone doesn’t convince you, my next reason will for sure.
Something a lot of people don't know is that one of the most important things in a beautiful image is light. Photography is literally the study of light. And beautiful light can be found ANYWHERE. When you look at social media or blogs in Minnesota, you’ll see the exact same locations used over and over and over. The same concrete block on the Mississippi on St. Anthony Main has been used more times than I can even count. But shoot, there are so many beautiful places right in your own backyard! Places that are meaningful to you!
