Are beautiful portraits of your and your partner a priority on your wedding day? Have you ever considered building in a block of time to step away from everyone and everything, just the two of you, to do portraits somewhere beautiful? Maybe your favorite nearby beach. Maybe that beautiful nature center down the road. Can your portraits take place at your venue? Of course! But sometimes it’s nice to just step away for a few minutes. This is also a really great option for those getting married at a venue that isn’t located somewhere pretty.

I’m still 100% about natural organic imagery but I also think these beautiful portraits are heirlooms too. These are the portraits you and your loved one’s will probably put on their wall. And location really does matter to some extent. If what you love is beautiful photos set in a natural space but your venue is located in downtown Minneapolis, you’re going to need some time set aside to do something like this. It’s super important that your timeline matches your expected portrait results. It’s a lot to think about but it’s something I LOVE to do. I meet with every couple before their wedding to go over things like this. A lot of times we’re talking about this even at the very first meeting. I want to hear your ideas.
