Meet Luther Kangas.

Luther is a multi-faceted sports entrepreneur, his main focus being on coaching. Luther came to me with a need for images he could use for social media primarily. He needed images that told a story about the coaching he does and imagery to go along with any coaching advice he gives online. But there was also a large need for lifestyle images that show who he is a person. Luther’s athletic, loves working out and adventure, so we wanted to highlight all of those things in addition to the coaching aspect. Luther wanted images that weren’t showy but told a story. Images he could use when he posted about stretching or running or a golf swing. His last requirement was that he wanted the images to be full of true to life color, so I kept that in mind while shooting but specifically while editing. I have my editing styles that I prefer but because branding sessions are truly catered to each client, this is something I adjust when needed.

Luther’s needs were 100% different from someone with more corporate needs, so in combination with the athletic portions of his session, we planned a day trip to Sedona to do a little hiking to showcase the adventure side of who he is. I go all out of my clients. Everytime. Underneath some layers of insulation I gained after that third baby, I’m actually strong and fit. I love hiking and adventuring myself, so I was more than willing to do some rock scrambling to get up to some higher vantage points with Luther. And it was worth it. Luther kept yelling at me from up higher that I just had to climb a little further because the view was beautiful. And honestly, the photos don’t even do it justice. I just wish we’d had more time to explore Sedona but I’ll be back eventually.
